Hedychium is considered one of most useful medicinal plant, as mentioned in Ayurveda. It’s mostly grown in tropical Asia and Himalaya region. It has pungent, light, bitter, strong, heating properties whereas medicinal properties such as carminative, stomachic, stimulant, expectorant, anti-asthmatic, antiseptic and anti-inflammatory make it useful in treatment of swelling, asthma, fever, and pain. Hedychium Floral water is extracted through hydro distillation process by using freshly plucked white flowers. Sometime it’s used to remove the bad smell from their teeth or mouth.
